Cabilao Beach Club
The Cabilao Beach Club is situated near the village of Cambaquiz on the north-eastern point of the island, directly on the white palm-fringed beach.
The resort is managed by a Filipino-German couple, Flore and Henry. Operations started last January 2004.

The resort boasts of 4 double bungalows, one triple bungalow, and a two-storey house with ocean view. All bungalows are equipped with a fully tiled bathroom, toilet and bath with hot and cold shower, an electric fan and a terrace.
The two-storey house is fully-equipped with bedroom having a queen-sized bed, mattresses, bedcovers, linen and mosquito net, a dressing table and chairs.
The dining room has a six-setter wooden table and chairs while the kitchen is fully furnished with refrigerator, cooker and cooking utensils.
A balcony with hammock is provided while the terrace has a table and two plastic chairs.
The restaurant at the top of the main resort building has great views across the ocean and serves Filipino and International dishes.
The Sea Explorers PADI dive center teaches a full range of courses and offers well maintained equipments for rent including several boats.
Aside from diving and dive courses, the resort offers excursions on horseback or by mountain bike across the island, boat rides to neighboring islands, swimming and snorkeling.
The resort is situated among well-kept grounds with palm trees, orchids and other tropical plants. The power supply on the island is limited, but the light systems inside the cottages work all the time.

The Cabilao Beach Club is located on the north-east tip of the Island, inside the village Cambaquiz. Cabilao Beach Club is about 8 boat minutes away from the Sea Explorers dive center.
Cabilao is a small island west of Bohol inhabited by about 4,000 people living in 5 villages with livelihood based on fishing and agriculture. The island has a school and, recently, an internet café, in the centre of the island. Proper road surfaces exist only in sections.
The island is slightly hilly and probably of volcanic origin and the reef that totally surrounds the island is its biggest asset in terms of biodiversity and coral formations.
The whole Cabilao Island is a protected area and boast of untouched above and underwater natural resources, much to the delight of scuba divers.
Different airlines from all big airports in Europe travel to the Philippines.
The most efficient way is to travel to Cabilao via Mactan International Airport at Mactan Island, Cebu.

Another way is to take the fast ferry from Cebu City to Tagbilaran City, Bohol in approximately 2 hours, then by cab to Sandingan Island in more or less 90 minutes and finally by outrigger to Cabilao at 20 minutes.
Another option is to take a cab or bus to Argao. These will take more or less 90 minutes. From there, an outrigger will take you to Cabilao in about 1 hour. The trip though is only viable in daylight and good weather.
Also, a public boat leaves Argao for Cabilao about 1 p.m. on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

The rooms are provided with twin beds with mattresses, bedcovers and linens. The bedrooms has a table and chairs with curtained windows.
The Two-Storey House is only a five-minute walk from the Club. It is a unique structure in that the walls and ceilings are made of amakan. Likewise the balcony and terrace have amakan coverings. Instead of a thatched roof, the sidings are thatched to keep the heat away yet let the cool sea breeze in.
It is provided with a terrace; a balcony with hammock, table and chairs with a sea view. The kitchen is fully furnished with a refrigerator, cooker and cooking utensils, and a water dispenser. The bathroom is fully tiled from floor to ceiling with a modern toilet seat, wash basin, mirror, hot and cold shower.
The spacious bedroom is located at the upper floor with a queen-sized bed, mattress, bedcovers, linen, mosquito net, dressing table and wooden chairs. The dining room has a six-setter wooden table with wooden chairs.
The restaurant is located at the top of the main resort building and has a great view of the ocean. The restaurant offers Filipino and International cuisine especially fresh seafood dishes.
Shakes and juices are from locally grown fruits and served upon orders. European bread is also available.
The dive base is a Sea Explorers PADI Dive Center which is close to the Lighthouse.
The dive center offers a full range of courses up to Dive Master and PADI Nitrox courses. Introductory dives can be arranged on request. The center has well-maintained equipments for rent and Sea Explorers has several boats for boat excursions and dive safaris.
The next decompression chamber is on Mactan Island, Cebu City which is 2 hours by speedboat or 30 minutes by helicopter.
