Bohol & Cebu Travel Updates

We’ve been covering Bohol and Cebu since 2010 — which means we have a lot of guides already published. But Bohol’s ferry routes get updated. New resorts open in Anda. Tour operators change their pricing. A trail in the highlands that nobody wrote about last year now has a proper guide. This page collects everything new as it goes live.

What you’ll find here:

New destination guides as we complete them, updated versions of existing guides when something significant changes, seasonal tips (the best time to book Panglao isn’t the same as the best time to visit the Chocolate Hills at sunrise), and the occasional deep-dive on a corner of Bohol or Cebu that doesn’t get enough coverage.

If you’re planning a trip and don’t know where to start, the right entry point is the Bohol Travel Guide or the Cebu Travel Guide — not this page. Those hubs connect everything we’ve published, organized by destination and experience type. Come back here to catch what’s new once you’ve got the lay of the land.

Looking for Something Specific?

The updates above are the most recent additions to the site. If you’re looking for something that was published earlier, the fastest route is through the main hubs:

For Bohol destinations — the Bohol Travel Guide maps every municipality from Panglao to Anda, with every published guide linked from a single page.

For Cebu — the Cebu Travel Guide covers Cebu City, Mactan, Moalboal, Oslob, Bantayan, Malapascua, and the routes connecting them.

For practical logisticsTravel Essentials has the ferry schedules, SIM card recommendations, airport transfer options, packing lists, and budget breakdowns that don’t fit neatly into a destination guide.

For tours and activities — the Tours hub and Things to Do are organized by type and month, so you can filter by what kind of traveler you are rather than scrolling through everything.

Spotted a gap? If there’s a destination, route, or experience we haven’t covered yet — or if something we’ve published is now outdated — the Contact page is the fastest way to let us know. Reader tips have directly shaped what we’ve published over the past 15 years.
